They have a good example of Gestalt Principals and Illusion in this clip. The figure and ground aspect of this scene is pretty good. It shows trees along side the road to give it the typical neighborhood feel. They use proximity and similarity by make the car get louder as it comes closer to the screen. This give its the feel that the car is actually coming closer. They use illusion by making the car sound like one sound when it is going into the future, but it is actually using multiple sounds.
Listening Modes is very prominent in the clip. They use Casual sounds with the sound of the car. The brakes and engine idling sounds like the car should sound like. They use Semantic by making the car sound like lightning strikes when it is traveling into the future. They also use it to create a feel when doc presses the buttons to set the time in which they're traveling. The buttons seem to have a more cartoon computer sound.
